Principle: this website is an information site
This website provides information about VisionProviders and a way to get in touch. It contains no user account, no login area, no shop and no payment function.
Personal data is processed only where you submit it to us yourself through the contact form or by email — and to the technically unavoidable extent in which every request to a website generates data (see “Server logs”).
Fonts and external content
This website loads no font files. It uses only the typefaces already present on your device. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other font service, and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.
No maps, videos, social media widgets or other third-party content are embedded. Images and local assets used on this website are delivered through the hosting infrastructure we use. Loading them does not create a direct connection to an external image or media service.
External links (such as source references in the VisionProviders Radar section) are only called up when you click them; from that point the privacy policy of the respective site applies.

When this website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically records access data in server log files. This usually includes the address requested, the date and time of the request, the volume of data transferred, the browser and operating system used, and the IP address.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and the security of the website. This data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted after a short period.
The concrete retention period for server logs is determined by the hosting provider and has not been confirmed to us. On the provider's registered office and possible access from the US, see the section “Transfers to third countries”.
Contact form and contact by email
If you send us an enquiry through the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide in order to handle and answer that enquiry.
Name, email address, subject and message are required. Company, phone number and type of organisation are voluntary; the enquiry is equally possible without them.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry is pre-contractual or contractual. For other business enquiries, we rely on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is processing and responding to incoming enquiries. The checkbox only acknowledges the privacy policy; it is not consent.
We keep the enquiry until it has been dealt with conclusively and no retention obligation remains. The contact form does not sign you up to a newsletter or to any advertising.
Qualified enquiry about our own developments
A separate form is available for enquiries about our own developments. It asks for more information than the contact form, because such enquiries are reviewed only in a business or institutional context.
The following is processed: legal company name, company website, country or registered office, first and last name, position, business email address, the development selected, the type of request, and your description of the request, its background, its relevance and the desired outcome.
For the request types “confidential insight”, “licensing”, “exclusive rights of use” and “full IP transfer”, proof of company is additionally required — for example a commercial register number or a VAT identification number. This information is not transmitted to any external register and is not evaluated automatically; it serves the manual review only.
Every enquiry receives a reference number. It consists of the date and a random sequence, contains no personal data and serves only to identify the case.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry serves to prepare a contract, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for other business enquiries. The checkbox only acknowledges the privacy policy; it is not consent.
These enquiries are delivered to a separate mailbox. No automated decision-making takes place: whether and how an enquiry is answered is decided by a person.
Technical support
You can report technical problems with this website using the support form. Your email address, the type of problem and a description of the error are required.
A reference number, the affected address and an error code are optional. In addition, the browser identification (user agent) is transmitted, which your browser sends with every request anyway — without it, display and submission errors often cannot be reproduced.
There is no document or file upload.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in identifying and fixing errors on this website.
Spam protection in the form
To protect against automated submissions, the form contains an additional field invisible to humans, the time between the form being built and submitted is evaluated, and the number of submissions per sender is limited.
To limit automated or abusive submissions, the IP address is processed briefly to create a pseudonymous keyed check value. The IP address is not stored permanently for this purpose; the check value expires after 15 minutes. No captcha or third-party service is used.
Retention periods
This website operates no database. What you send via a form is not stored on the web server but delivered directly to our mailbox as an email.
The spam protection check value exists only in the server’s memory and expires after 15 minutes; a restart clears it immediately. The reference number is not stored server-side — it appears in the email and in your confirmation.
We keep enquiries for as long as they are being processed and for as long as statutory retention obligations apply; after that we delete them. The retention period for server logs is governed by our hosting provider’s policy.

To operate this website we use service providers that process personal data solely on our instructions.
Enquiries from the contact form are delivered to our mailbox via the SMTP server of Hetzner Online GmbH. No separate delivery service is used for this.
Transfers to third countries
This website runs on servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In regular operation the access data does not leave the scope of the GDPR.
Our hosting provider Render Services, Inc. is based in the United States. Access from the US, for example during maintenance and troubleshooting, can therefore not be ruled out.
The domain, the name servers and our email mailbox are held by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Enquiries from the form are delivered via their SMTP server; they are not transferred to any provider outside the EU.
